Academics
How do students rank academically?
Students at Christian Community Schools, over the past twenty-five years, have scored on an average no less than one and one half years above national SAT norms. Our students have been accepted at many of the highly recognized high schools in the area: Bellarmine, Moreau, Archbishop Mitty, and Fremont Christian, to name a few. In addition, those entering public high schools, in most cases, qualify for Honors and/or advanced placement classes.
Accreditation
Is the school accredited?
Elementary and Jr. High schools in California are not accredited. Christian Community Schools has been a member in good standing with the Association of Christian Schools International since 1980. Parents provide the real test of accreditation. If a school is doing a good job, it will continue to thrive. It started in 1980 with only 7 Preschoolers and an elementary school of 63 students.
Certification
Are all teachers certified?
All teachers are required to hold a degree in their area of expertise, and many hold advanced graduate degrees. Many teachers hold California Credentials and some are accredited through the Association of Christian Schools International. In addition, Christian Community Schools believes that the type of training and range of experience, coupled with the lifestyle of the teacher, are important predictors of teaching success. It is our goal to have the best teachers possible. Christian Community Schools prides itself on being the highest paying Christian school in the area believing that a “workman is worth his hire” (Luke 10:7).
Student-Teacher Ratio
What is the teacher-pupil ratio?
Christian Community School is committed to honoring teacher-pupil ratios of: Kindergarten 1:25 with a teacher assistant, 1st and 2nd grades 1:28 with an assistant, and grades 3-8, no more than 1:28, with part-time assistants in many of the classrooms. When we include our auxiliary staff (P.E., Art, computers, Music, Elective teachers, etc.) and the administrative staff, Christian Community staff to student ratio is 1:16
Bible
Do the students have Bible classes?
All K-8 students have Bible classes daily. The curriculum is from a variety of Christian publishers. This curriculum includes Bible memory work and is age-appropriately designed. Students also attend a Chapel program for their age each week.

Computers
Are there computers in all the classrooms?
Christian Community completed a new computer lab in Fall of 2001. The computer literacy program is provided for students grades K-8. Grades K-6 have computers as part of their weekly curriculum, and grades 7-8 have an elective available. We are continually adding technology, hardware and software. We are connected to the Internet and use it most often for educational research as a library.
Music and Fine Arts
Do you offer music and art?
Music is offered as part of the classroom instruction for elementary students and private music lessons are offered for the junior high. An Exceptional band program is offered for the 4-8th grade students as well as choir for grades 1-8. Drama is also offered as an elective for junior high and opened to all grade levels for the Christmas and Spring musicals. We also have a dedicated art teacher who offers classes to preschool-8th grade
Facilities
What about your facilities?
The school is located on 9.8 acres of beautifully wooded grounds. The classrooms are modern and we have a computer lab (see above). A new gymnasium opened in the fall of 1995 which has greatly enhanced the P.E. program and athletic program as well as Chapels. Our PreSchool again added 2 more classrooms in early 1997.
Sports
Do you have a sports program?
Physical Education is taught as a course of study for grades K-8 by coaches who are responsible for the program. The boys and girls in the Jr. High program compete with other Christian schools in Softball, Basketball, Soccer, and Volleyball. (Click here for more information)
