    Dress Code

The principle of modesty of dress, tempered by appropriateness for differing activities, is one which we believe is Biblical and contributes to overall social and spiritual development of the student. Students are expected to follow the principles of 1Timothy 4:12 in respect to dress and grooming, "Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity."

In an effort to build school spirit and discourage outside influences, Christian Community Schools has chosen a designated uniform dress code. Uniforms were selected by the administration with the input of parents and students.

Our Uniform Color Matrix , which details items and acceptable colors for boys and girls, is now available for download.

    Dress Code Enforcement

Families at Christian Community Schools have placed considerable time and finances into meeting the dress code requirements of the school. The school will actively encourage our students to contribute to the educational climate by being in appropriate dress at all times. While the majority of students are routinely in step with the dress code, at times some are not. For consistency in honoring the dress code, the following procedures have been established and will be followed by the school staff throughout the academic year.

All teachers will keep a record of dress infractions for each student. If a student is out of dress code, the following procedures will be followed:

    • Kindergarten through 3rd Grade
      • First and Second Infractions - A note will be sent home addressing the area of concern for the parent to remedy.
      • Third and Future Infractions - Student will be sent to the office. Parent will be called to bring proper clothing to school, so the student may change and return to class.
    • 4th and 5th Grade
      • First Infraction - Student will receive one verbal admonition.
      • Second and Future Infractions - Student will be sent to the office. Parent will be called to bring proper clothing to school, so the student may change and return to class.
    • 6th Grade through 8th Grade
      • First Infraction - Students will receive one dress code demerit.
      • Second and Future Infractions - Student will receive an additional dress code demerit for each infraction. Student will be sent to the office. Parent will be called to bring proper clothing to school, so the student may change and return to class. A detention will be given with three (3) dress code demerits are received.
    • Final determination regarding interpretation of the dress code rests with the school administration.
